Secure Film

Add a layer. Keep the view.

Anti-theft protection for your glass — turns ordinary glass into burglar-resistant glass. Makes a break-in slow, loud, and hard work, instead of a one-second smash-and-grab.

Secure film is a tough, clear layer applied to the inside of your existing glass. It helps hold shattered glass in place and deters and delays entry, giving you more time and making a break-in far less appealing. It does not make glass literally unbreakable, and it is not a substitute for locks, alarms, or other security measures — but it turns a quick smash into a slow, noisy struggle.

Choosing a thickness

  • 4 mil (about 101 microns) — basic fragment retention
  • 6–7 mil (about 152–178 microns) — moderate protection
  • 8 mil (about 203 microns) — standard security, a good choice for storefronts and ground-floor windows
  • 12 mil (about 303 microns) — heavy-duty protection
  • 14+ mil (about 356+ microns) — high-threat protection

Anchoring matters as much as thickness

How the film is anchored to the frame matters as much as how thick it is. Wet-glaze silicone anchoring and mechanical batten anchoring help keep the filmed glass in the frame under impact, rather than letting the whole sheet be pushed in. We will recommend the anchoring approach that suits your windows, frames, and level of risk.

Secure film is available for homes and businesses, including ground-floor windows, storefronts, and other vulnerable glass. Tell us about your glass and your concerns, and we will help you choose the right thickness and anchoring.
